The EQUAsmart CRRT medical device is a fully integrated unit, developed to provide CRRT users with the optimum solutions for their needs. EQUAsmart includes 4 pumps for blood, dialysate, substitution and anti-coagulation, a proprietary system for ultrafiltration control, a new trolley design and others features for both continuous renal replacement therapies and plasma treatments. For a quick and simple treatment set-up, EQUAsmart works with compact disposable kits which include all tubing and accessories. The tubing set cartridge has a low priming volume and gives the physician the possibility to choose either pre-dilution or post-dilution treatments. Hemofilters are not contained in the kit, thus giving physicians the possibility to choose the most suitable size for the patient. Moreover, EQUAsmart has been specifically developed to improve working conditions of hemofilters, to ensure there proper function for the duration of the treatment and to avoid undesirable and premature replacement.

MEDICA offers a range of Plasmafilters available with 0.20, 0.40 and 0.60 m2 membrane area in micropolyethersulfone. Meanwhile larger surfaces are under development.
